Why Movement Matters?
Over 80% of communication is body language!
This includes the movement of the head, torso, arms, and legs. Yet despite its importance, body movement during presentations has never been systematically studied or taught. As a result, most presentation training overlooks a crucial skill:using body movement to create engagement and to match the purpose of the message.
When lacking self-awareness and clear principles, speakers often encounter problems such as:
■ Appear authentic and credible.
■ It fails to attract the listener's attention.
■ Adapt their delivery to different situations.
■ Use gestures that reinforce—rather than contradict—their words.
This leads to presentations that feel less impactful, less persuasive, and ultimately fail to achieve their intended purpose.
